Self-efficacy and social support of mothers of preterms in neonatal unit

Abstract Objectives: to analyze a correlation between self-efficacy and social support of mothers preterms in early postpartum. Methods: cross-sectional study, carried out with 120 preterm infants from Maternity School, June September 2018. Sociodemographic, reproductive scales were used assess the Maternal Self-Efficacy Social Support. A descriptive analysis was MannWhitney Test, Kruskal Wallis Test Spearman applied. Results: there positive self-efficacy, parity (p=0.017), years schooling (p=0.017) Support (p=0.002). An unexpected finding high among up eight schooling, countryside State low income. Conclusion: support, all dimensions: material, affective, emotional, information interaction, proven be predictor maternal self-efficacy.
